PLAR feature is designed so, as soon as the phone goes off-hook on a specific line it dials a pre-configured number. Typically, this feature is used in hotel lobbies.
Requirements
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) version 11 or later
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager Admin Access
- Calling Search Space (CSS)
- Partition (PT)
- Translation Patterns
- Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Dial Rules
- Cisco IP Phone 7800, 7900, 8800 series

Procedures
- Create Partition for the PLAR destination. Navigate to Call Routing > Class of Control > Partition.
- Create a new CSS. Navigate to Call Routing > Class of Control > Calling Search Space
- Add the Partition and PT-Internal on to the new CSS
4. Create a new Translation Pattern. Navigate to Call Routing > Translation Pattern
5. Make sure that the Translation Pattern field is left Blank as above.
Enter the PLAR target number on Called Party Transform Mask.
6. Navigate to Call Routing > Directory Number > Select the PLAR phone
7. Assign the new CSS as below then Save
8. Navigate to Call Routing > Dial Rules > SIP Dial Rules > Add new > Save
9. Navigate to Device > Find the device > Scroll down to the Protocol Specific Information > Apply SIP Dial Rule
10. Make sure hit Save button and Apply Config button.
Verification
- In order to verify that the configuration was performed correctly take the phone off hook. In this case, the phone automatically dials the number 7777.
