Please read all the steps first below before configuring


Requirements

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 11.x or later
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Admin Access
  • Number of Licenses
  • Chrome or Firefox browser


Difficulty Level - Easy


Procedure

  1. Sign in to CUCM
  2. Navigate User Management > User/Phone Add > Quick User/Phone Add
  3. Find a user that you want to add Jabber account > Manage Devices
  4. Click New Phone

<Windows>

  1. Product Type - Cisco Unified Client Services Framework
  2. Device Protocol - SIP
  3. Device Name - Device name must start with CSF (e.g. CSFCHRIS)
  4. Universal Device Template (UDT) - Use template based on location or companies' default UDT

<MAC OS>

  1. Product Type - Cisco Dual Mode for iPhone
  2. Device Protocol - SIP
  3. Device Name - Device name must start with TCT
  4. Universal Device Template - See above

<Android>

  1. Product Type -Cisco Dual Mode for Android
  2. Device Protocol - SIP
  3. Device Name - Device name must start with BOT
  4. Universal Device Template - See above
