Please read all of the below steps first before configuring


Requirements

  • Cisco Unity Connection version 10.5 or later
  • Cisco Unity Connection admin credentials
  • Third-party Audio Converter Software
  • Pre-recorded greeting audio file
  • Chrome or Firefox browser

Procedure

  1. Sign in to CUC admin portal
  2. Go to 'Holiday Schedule' under System Settings and click on the the existing schedule
  3. Then, Add New > Set name > Set Start Date and End Date > Save

        4. Go to System Call Handler under Call Management

        5. Find the Extension number or Call Handler that you want to apply the new holiday greeting to

        6. Select the handler > Edit > Greetings > Enable Holiday (tick the box) > Save

        7. Select Holiday > Switch to 'My Personal Recording' under Callers Hear

        8. Set up After Greeting Values as your desire (take message, replay greeting, divert call etc.) 

        9. Click Upload button under Recordings > Select Audio WAV file > Save

 


        10. If you would like to verify > Click Download button below Upload button and playback the downloaded file 


**IMPORTANT**


Audio format for recordings (Greetings, Music on Hold) must be converted to the following 

  • Bit Resolution: 8 Bit
  • Sampling Rate: 8000 Hz
  • Audio Channels: Mono
  • Audio Format: WAV


Recommended 3rd party audio converters are Audacity or Pazera - both free downloads - however any converter will work as long as final audio format meets the requirements above
